I have a definite love-hate relationship with audiobooks. Sometimes it feels as though part of my imagination is taken away when the voice actors say a line in a certain way, or if their voice is nothing like I would’ve wanted for the character. To say I was a little nervous about beginning my first Harry Potter re-read in six years with an audiobook would be an understatement. However, I had absolutely no reason to be.

Audible released (and is continuing to release) full-cast versions of the Harry Potter audiobooks ahead of the new HBO show.

And they are perfect.

I have no notes.

Hugh Laurie was born to be Dumbledore, and no, I did not have any trouble imagining Dr. House while listening.
